02.19.18… I’ve created several cards using the new Lots of Lavender stamp set, which you can earn for FREE (with a purchase of $50 or more) during Sale-A-Bration. This time however, I thought I’d give my Lots of Lavender card a new twist, and use a shade of pink (Blushing Bride, to be exact) instead of lavender or purple.
I also mixed things up a bit more, and stamped my image on Crumb Cake cardstock, instead of Whisper White cardstock. I love the shabby chic feel it adds to the card! Distressing the paper, along with using a piece of the Wood Textures Designer Series Paper, steps up the “shabby” even more. For someextra texture, I used the Quilt Top Textured Impressions Embossing Folder with the Blushing Bride cardstock.
To add in a little more color, I distressed a piece of Soft Sky Classic Weave Ribbon. To complete the card, I used a some linen thread, a snippet of Very Vanilla Lace Trim, and just a small piece of a Delicate White Doily. For the bling, I heat embossed the sentiment using Stampin’ Emboss Powder in Gold , and of course added a few Rhinestone and Pearl Basic Jewels.
