lovely inspiration…

04.22.18… On my last post, I used a small strip of dandelion-patterned paper from the Whole Lot of Lovely Designer Series Paper Pack.  Well…..that little strip of paper inspired me to create a few more cards using that same paper, along with some daisy-patterned paper (..also from the Whole Lot of Lovely Designer Series Paper Pack) thrown into the mix.

To create these two whimsical cards, I used Whisper White and Crumb Cake cardstock, along with the two patterned papers from the Whole Lot of Lovely Designer Series Paper Pack.

On the standard size card,  I used the Stitched Shapes Framelits and the Layering Squares Framelits to die cut the square and scalloped square.  A background stamp from the Background Bits Hostess stamp set (…you can earn this versatile stamp set for FREE, when you place an order of $150 or more), along with a Crushed Curry Classic Stampin’ Pad was used to create the background on the Crushed Curry square.

I also used a sentiment from Background Bits Hostess stamp set, cut it out, distressed it a bit, and adhered it with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I added some Soft Sky 3/8″ Classic Weave Ribbon, linen thread, and a couple of Clear Faceted Gems for a bit of bling.

For the 3″ x 3″ card, I used the Stitched Shapes Framelits to die cut the sentiment (from the Apron of Love stamp set) and popped it up with some Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I also added some Soft Sky 3/8″ Classic Weave Ribbon, linen thread, and a Rhinestone Basic Jewel and a Clear Faceted Gem to add just a bit of sparkle.

TIP:  To create a small scalloped border (as I did on the #’ x 3″ card above), die cut the largest scalloped square from the Layering Squares Framelits, trim off the edges and layer them under the your patterned paper.
