05.26.18…I am having the best time ever with all of the amazing new colors and products from the 2018-2019 Stampin’ Up! catalog! And…I could wait to use my new Petal Pink Cardstock to make this Spring-themed birthday card. Oddly enough…today it’s 48 degrees outside, dark, rainy, and almost wintry. Hey…I’m not complaining though, summer is literally just around the corner, and it’ll be 100+ degrees before you know it!
To make this card “bloom”, I dry embossed my Petal Pink Cardstock with the new Lovely Floral Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, I used a small piece of a Stampin’ Sponge alongwith my Whisper White Classic Stampin’ Pad to add some highlights and dimension. After tearing and distressing the edge of the cardstock, I layered it with some Share What You Love Designer Series Paper, some Crumb Cake Cardstock, and then distressed the edges of the paper. I used a few Stampin’ Dimensionals to pop it up onto Whisper White Cardstock base. Using a Versamark Pad and White Stampin’ Emboss Powder, I heat-embossed the sentiment (from the new Detailed With Love stamp set) onto Basic Black Cardstock, cut it out and popped it up with a few more Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Along with a piece of Rich Razzleberry Velvet Ribbon, I added some White Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon, and a Linen Thread bow. All I needed was a few Share What You Love Artisan Pearls, a Basic Rhinestone Jewel, and on of the new Tinted Faceted Buttons. So much “bloomin” fun!
TIP: Add different colors, widths, and textures of ribbon to add extra dimension and interest to your projects!
