07.24.18… It’s been awhile since I’ve used my Nature’s Poem Designer Series Paper, so today I decided to jump right back into this beautiful collection of paper and start creating! From Blackberry Bliss and Grapefruit Grove…..to Soft Suede and Cajun Craze…..to Mint Macaron and Tranquil Tide….the color combos in this paper pack are absolutely gorgeous! Added to the Whisper White card base is a strip of Nature’s Poem Designer Series Paper (torn on one edge), with a piece of Petal Pink Cardstock layered underneath. (I found that Petal Pink blends beautifully with the Grapefruit Grove on this paper.) I used the Layered Leaves Textured Impressions Embossing Folder to dry emboss a small square of Whisper White Cardstock. I then used one of the Layering Circles Framelits to die cut the scalloped circle from Vellum Cardstock.
For an extra bit of texture , I added some Burlap Ribbon and Calypso Coral Ombre Ribbon (which also blends with Grapefruit Grove and Petal Pink). The sentiment (from the Picture Perfect Birthday set) was heat-embossed on Basic Black Cardstock, using my Versamark Pad and White Stampin’ Emboss Powder, and popped it up with a few Stampin’ Dimensionals. For those ever-so-fun finishing touches, I added a few of the Faceted Dots (in Grapefruit Grove), a couple of Basic Adhesive-Backed Sequins, and some wooden leaves from the Frames Elements assortment.
