enjoy the season…

In the Woods - Enjoy the Season by Tammy C. Wilson

12.19.18…. Happy Wednesday, my Stampin’ friends!  As I mentioned in yesterday’s post, I’m using the last week before Christmas to share just a few more cards.  That being said, I created another card with the Winter Woods Bundle.  I love the versatility of this bundle!  I’m also super excited that the Winter Woods stamp set and coordinating In the Woods Framelits set will be carried over AFTER the 2018 Holiday catalog comes to an end on January 2, 2019.  (FYI:  After January 2nd, both products will be sold separately, and not as a bundle.)  So…..if you happen to miss out on these fabulous products, you’ll still have an opportunity to order them after the holidays are over.

To create this card, I started with a piece of Whisper White Cardstock (embossed with the Softly Falling Textured Impressions Embossing Folder), then layered some Cherry Cobbler Cardstock underneath.  I then heat embossed a strip of Crumb Cake Cardstock, using the tree trunk stamp (from the Winter Woods Bundle), my Versamark Pad, and White Stampin’ Emboss Powder.  To add a little extra interest, I also tore the top edge of paper strip, and added a strip of Festive Farmhouse Designer Series Paper.   After adding some Festive Farmhouse Cotton Twine, and a bit of Linen Thread,  I adhered the entire panel to a Thick Whisper White Cardstock card base.

I used the pine tree (from the Winter Woods Bundle), and stamped it once with Mossy Meadow and once with Old Olive (both on Whisper White Cardstock).  After I die cut them with the coordinating Framelits, I popped them up with a few Stampin’ Dimensionals.    The sentiment (from the All Hearts Come Home set) was stamped with my Gray Granite Classic Stampin’ Pad, and added some speckles with my Crumb Cake Stampin’ Write Marker.  (I flicked the wide end of the marker on the edge of the marker cap, and aimed it towards my paper to create the speckles.)   Before adhering the sentiment with a few Stampin’ Dimensionals, I distressed the paper to add some extra texture.  Tucked underneath the sentiment is some Silver Glimmer Paper (punched with the Sprig Punch), as well as some Vellum Cardstock leaves (die cut with one of the In the Woods Framelits.  To add a subtle bit of bling, I sprinkled on a few Gold Metallic Pearls.

The Stampin’ Up 2018 Holiday Catalog, as well as the 2018-2019 Stampin’ Up Annual Catalog are both chockful of so many wonderful products!  Okay, let’s be honest…..they are absolutely overflowing with some of the most amazing products ever!
