05.23.19…..Happy Friday, stampers! The 2019 Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog and the 2019 Occasions Catalog will both be expiring in less than two weeks…on June 3rd. I know…it’s hard to believe, right? There are so many fun stamps sets and accessories in these catalogs, many of which will be retiring. So…if there are any retiring products that are still on your wishlist, you’ll want to order them as soon as possible!
That being said, I’m so excited that the Piece of Cake stamp set (used to create this card), along with coordinating Cake Builder Punch, will be carried over to the upcoming 2019-2020 Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog. It just love the versatiliy of this set. Whether it’s a birthday, wedding, anniversary, or other occassion….this set has got you covered! And…with the coodinating Cake Builder Punch, it makes you job even that much easier!
For the background, I used the Pinewood Planks 3D Embossing Folder was used to emboss a piece of Whisper White Cardstock, layered it with a second piece of Whisper White Cardstock, and added a strip of Twinkle Twinkle Designer Series Paper (notched at one end). I then used a few Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the panel to a Whisper White Thick Cardstock base. Using one of the Layering Circles Dies, I die cut a scalloped circle from Vellum Cardstock, and embossed it with the Lace 3D Embossing Folder.
Using my Versamark Pad and White Stampin’ Emboss Powder, I heat-embossed the candles (from the Piece of Cake stamp set) on Whisper White Cardstock. After using on of the Stitched Rectangle Dies, I watercolored the candles with Flirty Flamingo and Daffodil Delight, using my Aqua Painter. I tucked in a bit of Gold Metallic Thread, before adhering the candles with a couple of Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The cake and cake stand (from the Piece of Cake stamp set) were also heat-embossed on Whisper White Cardstock. I watercolored them both with Flirty Flamingo and Soft Sea Foam (using my Aqua Painter), punched them out the the Cake Builder Punch, and adhere them with a few Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals. The sentiment (also from the Piece of Cake stamp set) was heat-embossed on Whisper White Cardstock, using my Versamark Pad and Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder. After I cut out the sentiment, I popped it up with a few more Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I created the bow with 1/8″ Flirty Flamingo Ribbon (from the All My Love Ribbon Combo Pack). After cutting off a piece of ribbon off the roll, I carefully cut it vertically all the way down the center….not quite as hard as it sounds. I then continued to fray it and pull apart the threads, until I was happy with the results, and adhered the bow with a couple of Mini Glue Dots. For those extra little details, I sprinkled on one of the Blossoms Elements, a few of the Share What You Love Artisan Pearls, and a couple of Basic Adhesive-Backed Sequins.
PLEASE NOTE:
The following products (used on this card) will not be available after June 2, 2019. Don’t miss out!
