Painted Poppies - Peaceful Moments by Tammy C. Wilson

01.12.2020…..Happy Sunday, my stamping friends!  I’ve been having so much fun with the new Peaceful Poppies Suite!  It is such a beautiful collection of products, and the possibilities are endless!  That being said, I decided to switch up the poppy color for this card, and add in a bit of So Saffron Perennial Essence Vellum Cardstock.  I just love the unexpected twist that it adds to the card!  If you haven’t ordered the Peaceful Poppies Suite yet, you’ll want to add it to your wish list right away!  And, don’t forget…

Don’t miss the SALE-A-BRATION!

I started with some Whisper White Cardstock (embossed with the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder), along with a slightly larger piece of Peaceful Poppies Designer Series Paper.  Before I layered them both together, I used my Aqua Painter to add some speckling to the Whisper White Cardstock. (I created the speckling by dipping my Aqua Painter into some Pear Pizzazz ink, and “flicking” the brush tip against the brush cap.)  After I layered both pieces on a Whisper White Thick Cardstock base, I added a narrow strip of Peaceful Poppies Designer Series Paper.  For some extra texture, I added some Whisper White Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon, twisted it just a bit, and adhered it with the tiniest bit of Tear & Tape Adhesive.

I used the Poppy Moments Dies to die cut all of the “outlines” for the poppies (from Whisper White Cardstock), as well as the little center pieces for each flower (which I popped up with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I then used the “solid” shaped dies for the poppies, and die cut each of those from the So Saffron Perennial Essence Vellum Cardstock.  I also die cut a second set of  “solid” shapes from Whisper White Cardstock, and added them to the back of the Vellum Cardstock. I used a few Stampin’ Dimensionalsto pop up the largest poppy.  The leaves were die cut (using the Poppy Moments Dies) from Old Olive Perennial Essence Cardstock, and tucked underneath the poppies.

I used the Peaceful Moments stamp set to heat-emboss the sentiment on Basic Black Cardstock, using my Versamark Pad and White Stampin’ Emboss Powder.  After I cut it out, I popped it up with a few more Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.  For a bit of bling, I sprinkled on several Iridescent Sequins.

Wishing you creativity always,
