For today’s post, I wanted to design something that was just a bit more special.  So…..I decided to create some framed art, along with my little embellished Heart Foil Tin.

Let’s start with the framed artwork….

From My Heart - Heartfelt - frame by Tammy C. Wilson

I started with a piece of Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper, and heat-embossed the all of the hearts (from the Heartfelt stamp set), using my Versamark Pad and Clear Stampin’ Emboss Powder.  To watercolor the background, I used my Aqua Painter, along with Flirty Flamingo and Real Red. After I was done watercoloring,  I misted the paper with my Stampin’ Spritzer (filled with water), then sat back and watched the magic happen.  As the colors started to run together, I also added a few more spritzes here and there.  After I was satisfied with the results, I used my heat tool to dry the paper, but still left it slightly damp.  After the paper was completely dry, I trimmed it down to approximately 4″ x 6″, so that it would fit into my frame.

For an extra pop of color, I added some Real Red Double Stitched Ribbon(To create the ruffles, I added a couple of small strips of Tear and Tape Adhesive. As I created little folds in the ribbon, I adhered it to the tape.)  On top of that, I layered to small strips of From My Heart Designer Series Paper.  The sentiment (also from the Heartfelt stamp set) was heat-embossed on Basic Black Cardstock, using my Versamark Pad and White Stampin’ Emboss Powder.  After I cut it out, I popped it up with a few Stampin’ Dimensionals.  For a bit of bling, I sprinkled on several of the From My Heart Faceted Gems.

After I finished the inside of the frame, I decided that I just had decorate the outside of the frame, too! So…I added a little banner at the top.  Each of the little flags were cut from little strips of the From My Heart DSP.  I punched tiny holes in each of the top corners of each flag, then added a couple of strands of Whisper White Baker’s Twine.  After I popped up the flags with a few Stampin’ Dimensionals, I added a bit of Real Red Double-Stitched Satin Ribbon (cut apart vertically).

Next up is the cute little Heart Foil Tin!  You can add some candy, special treats, or use it to bake a mini muffin inside!  (I created mine before all of the Valentine candy was out in the stores, so I filled mine with a bit of shredded paper.)

After I wrapped a bit of Real Read Double-Stitched Satin Ribbon around the outside, I decorated the lid.  First, I added a scalloped heart, which was punched out of one of the From My Heart DSP sheets, using the the scalloped heart punch from the Heart Punch Pack. (I just love both of the heart punches coordinate perfectly with several of the DSP sheets!)  On top of that I added two of the Flirty Flamingo Heart Doilies, and I flipped one of them over so that the “white” side was showing.  I added a fourth heart, which was punched out another piece of the From My Heart DSP, with the second heart punch from the Heart Punch Pack.  (To add a bit more dimensional, I also crinkled up all of the hearts before I adhered them to the lid.)

The sentiment (from the Heartfelt stamp set) was heat-embossed on Basic Black Cardstock, using my Versamark Pad and White Stampin’ Emboss Powder.  After I cut it out, I popped it up with a few Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I used several loops of Real Read Double-Stitched Satin Ribbon to create a bow, and also sprinkled on a few From My Heart Faceted Gems.
