05.01.20…..Happy Friday, everyone! I can’t believe that it’s already the first of May! But… no matter what month it is, there always seems to be a birthday just around the corner! That being said, I figured why not create this card today, and get a jump start on a few birthdays that are coming up! Hope this inspires you to create a birthday card today for a special someone!
For this card, I started with a piece of Whisper White Cardstock, embossed it with the Parisian Flourish 3D Embossing Folder, layer a slightly large piece of Whisper White Cardstock underneath, and adhered them to a Coastal Cabana Cardstock base. I then used a smaller piece of Whisper White Cardstock, and stamped it with the “vine” stamp from the Botanical Bliss Stamp Set. I used Coastal Cabana and Terracotta Tile to stamp the vines. Each of the vines were “stamped off” one or two times. I also added some speckling with my Dark Bermuda Bay Stampin’ Blends Marker. (I created the speckling by “flicking the thick end of the marker against the marker cap.)
I then used the “filigree” die (from the Perfect Parcel Dies) to cut out a small piece of Vellum Cardstock and a small piece of Whisper White Cardstock. Tucked underneath the filigrees is one single ply of Grapefruit Grove Nature’s Twine. The sentiment (from the Music from the Heart Stamp Set) was heat-embossed on Bermuda Bay Cardstock, using my Versamark Pad and White Stampin’ Emboss Powder. After I cut it out with one of the Stitched Rectangle Dies, I popped it up with a few Stampin’ Dimensionals. For a bit of bling, I sprinkled on a few Woven Threads Sequins and a couple of Glitter Enamel Dots.
