06.03.20…..Welcome to Wednesday, everyone! Today…the brand new 2020-2021 Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog went “live”! That’s right, my stampin’ friends…today you can begin placing your orders from the absolutely amazing new catalog! That being said, I used two of the new stamp sets from the new catalog…Jar of Flowers and Tasteful Touches!
The 2020-2021 catalog is sooooo jam-packed with soooooo many amazing stamps sets, accessories, and more….and I know your wish list will be overflowing before you know it!
For this card, I started with a piece of Whisper White Cardstock, embossed it with the Pinewood Planks 3D Embossing Folder, and adhered it to a Crumb Cake Cardstock base. On top of that, I added a strip of the new 2020-2022 In Color Designer Series Paper.
The flower bouquet (from the Jar of Flowers Stamp Set) was heat-embossed three times on Whisper White Cardstock, using my Versamark Pad and White Stampin’ Emboss Powder. To color the flowers, I used the following Stampin’ Blends Combo Packs…Flirty Flamingo, Calypso Coral, and Granny Apple Green. (I decided that I wanted to create a “watercolor” effect as I colored the flowers, so…I colored very randomly with the “light’ and “dark” markers, and actually did very little blending.) I also added some speckling with my Crumb Cake Stampin’ Write Marker, by “flicking” the thick end of the marker against the marker cap.
I then added some Bumblebee Gingham Trim, Whisper White Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon, and Linen Thread, and used a few Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the panel to the card base. The sentiment (from the Tasteful Touches Stamp Set) was stamped in Early Espresso, on a little piece of In Good Taste Designer Series Paper. After I cut it out with one of the Stitched Nested Labels, I popped it up with a few Stampin’ Dimensionals. For a bit of bling, I sprinkled on a few of the Flowers for Every Season Gems and Woven Thread Sequins.
