06.10.20…..Happy Wednesday, my stampin’ friends! Today, I decided to create a card with the new See the Good Stamp Set from the brand new Stampin’ Up! 2020-2021 Annual Catalog! This new catalog is sooooo jam-packed with soooooo many amazing stamps sets, accessories, and more….and I know your wish list will be overflowing before you know it!
For this card, I started with a piece of Bumblebee Cardstock, and embossed it with the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder. After I layered a slightly large piece of Whisper White Cardstock underneath, I used a few Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere it to a Crumb Cake Cardstock base.
I used the pear stamp (from the See the Good Stamp Set), and stamped it three times on a strip of Whisper White Cardstock. Each time I stamped the pear, I inked the entire pear with my Bumblebee Classic Stampin’ Pad. I then used a Sponge Dauber to add a bit of Magenta Madness to one side of the pear. I also colored the stem with my Early Espresso Stampin’ Write Marker. After I stamped each pear, I cleaned off the stamp…and then repeated the steps again. I also added some speckling, by “flicking” the thick end of my Early Espresso Stampin’ Write Marker against the edge of the marker cap. I then embossed the paper with the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder.
Before I adhered the pears to the card base, I added a scalloped edge to the top and bottom of the paper strip, using Whisper White Cardstock and one of the Ornate Layers Dies. The sentiment (from the See the Good Stamp Set) was stamped with Early Espresso on Whisper White Cardstock, cut out, and adhered with a few Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals. For some extra dimension, I added a wood leaf accent to each pear, using the In Good Taste Elements. To add a bit of bling, I sprinkled on a few of the Elegant Faceted Gems.
