06.11.20…..Happy Thursday, everyone! Today, I decided to create another card with the new See the Good Stamp Set , using the artichoke stamp. On yesterday’s post, I created a card with the same stamp set, using the pear stamp.
The See the Good Stamp Set is one of the new stamp sets from the brand new Stampin’ Up! 2020-2021 Annual Catalog! This new catalog is sooooo jam-packed with soooooo many amazing stamps sets, accessories, and more….and I know your wish list will be overflowing before you know it!
For this card, I started with a piece of Granny Apple Green Cardstock, and embossed it with the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder, and adhered it to a Whisper White Thick Cardstock base. I used the artichoke stamp (from the See the Good Stamp Set), and stamped it three times on a piece of Whisper White Cardstock. Each time I stamped the artichoke, I inked the entire stamp with my Granny Apple Green Classic Stampin’ Pad. I then used a Sponge Dauber to add just a bit of Pretty Peacock to around the edges (and in the middle) of the artichoke. After I stamped each artichoke, I cleaned off the stamp…and then repeated the steps again.
I also added some speckling, by “flicking” the thick end of my Early Espresso Stampin’ Write Marker against the edge of the marker cap. I then embossed the paper with the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder. Before I adhered the artichokes to the card base with a few Stampin’ Dimensionals, I added a slightly large piece of Early Espresso Cardstock underneath.
I used one of the Well Written Dies to cut out the tall stems, using a small piece of Vellum Cardstock. On a small piece of Whisper White Cardstock, I stamped the branch (from the See the Good Stamp Set. (I “stamped off” twice before I actually stamped on the cardstock.) On top of the branch, I stamped the sentiment (also from the See the Good Stamp Set) in Early Espressso. After I cut it out with one of the Stitched Nested Label Dies, I popped it up with a few more Stampin’ Dimensionals. Tucked underneath, are a couple of wood accents, from the In Good Taste Elements. (Since I only need small pieces of the large wood branch, I broke apart into two pieces.) For a very subtle bit of bling, I sprinkled on a few of the Flowers for Every Season Gems.
Wishing you creativity always,
