07.17.20…..Happy Friday, everyone! It’s already time for another TGIF Challenge! This week, we have have a super fun technique challenge for you…Silhouette Effect! That’s right, my stampin’ friends, it’s time to get out some of your favorite stamp images, get creative…and get inspired along with us! I hope you have a chance to play along with us this week, over at TGIF Challenges. We would love to see what you create!
For this card, I started with a piece of 2020-2022 In Colors Designer Series Paper, and adhered it to a Whisper White Thick Cardstock base. I then added a smaller piece of Whisper White Cardstock, which I embossed with the Dainty Diamonds 3D Embossing Folder…and tore the bottom edge of the paper.
I stamped the flowers (from the Field of Flowers Stamp Set) on Whisper White Thick Cardstock, using my Tuxedo Black Memento Pad. Once that ink was dry, I then stamped directly over it with Versamark Pad and Clear Stampin’ Emboss Powder, and cut them out with one of the Stitched Shapes Dies. To add some color, I used my Sponge Daubers, along with Magenta Madness and Bumblebee. To add the extra little water spots, I dipped my fingertips in a bit of water, “flicked” them above the paper. and dried the paper with my Heat Tool. Before I popped up the images with a few Stampin’ Dimensionals, I added some Magenta Madness 2020-2022 In Color Ribbon. I cut the ribbon in half (vertically), and pulled out a few strands from it as well.
The sentiments (also from the Field of Flowers Stamp Set) were heat-embossed on Basic Black Cardstock with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder, cut out, and popped up with a few Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals. For a bit of bling, I sprinkled on a few Artistry Blooms Sequins, a couple of Gold Glitter Enamel Dots.
