07.22.20…..Welcome to Wednesday, everyone! Today I decided to a card using the Lovely You Stamp Set…from the brand new Stampin’ Up! 2020-2021 Annual Catalog! This new catalog is sooooo jam-packed with soooooo many amazing stamps sets, accessories, and more….and I know your wish list will be overflowing before you know it!
For this card, I started with a piece of Shimmery White Cardstock, and misted it with my Stampin’ Spritzer (filled with water). I then used a Water Painter to add some Petal Pink, Blushing Bride, and Magenta Madness. I misted the paper just a bit more with my Stampin’ Spritzer (filled with water), then sat back and watched the magic happen. As the colors started to run together, I also added a few more spritzes here and there. After I was satisfied with the results, I used my Heat Tool to dry the paper. To add the extra little water spots, I dipped my fingertips in a bit of water, and “flicked” them above the paper. This time, I let the paper dry on it’s own, and did not use my heat tool.
I stamped the leaf image (from the Lovely You Stamp Set) in Petal Pink, Blushing Bride, and Magenta Madness. I also “stamped off” some of the images as well. I then used a few Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere it to a Blushing Bride Cardstock base. (Tucked underneath the right edge is a narrow strip of Blushing Bride Cardstock that I die cut with one of the Ornate Borders Dies.)
The sentiment (also from the Lovely You Stamp Set) was heat-embossed on Basic Black Cardstock, using my Versamark Pad and White Stampin’ Emboss Powder. After I cut it out, I popped it up with a few Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals. Tucked underneath the sentiment is a single ply of Baker’s Twine (from the Playful Pets Trim Combo Pack). For a bit of bling, I sprinkled on a few Woven Threads Sequins, and a couple of Champagne Rhinestone Basic Jewels.
