07.29.20…..Happy Friday, everyone! It’s already time for another TGIF Challenge! This week, we have have a super fun Inspiration Challenge for you! You can be inspired by any aspect of the photo below – colors, patterns – just PLAY!!! So…get out some of your favorite products, get creative…and get inspired along with us! I hope you have a chance to play along with us this week, over at TGIF Challenges. We would love to see what you create!
To create the watercolored background for this card, I started with a piece of Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper, and misted it with my Stampin’ Spritzer. I then used one of my Water Painters…along with Highland Heather, Coastal Cabana, Granny Apple Green…to add a wash of color. I misted the paper just a bit more with my Stampin’ Spritzer (filled with water), then sat back and watched the magic happen. As the colors started to run together, I also added a few more spritzes here and there. After I was satisfied with the results, I used my Heat Tool to dry the paper. Once the paper was dry, I used several Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere it to a Whisper White Thick Cardstock base.
I then used one of the dies from the Sunflower Dies to cut out three sunflowers from Whisper White Thick Cardstock. Once I decided on where to place them, I trimmed them as needed. The sentiment (from the Very Versailles Stamp Set) was heat-embossed on Whisper White Cardstock, using my Versamark Pad and Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder. Before I popped up the sentiment with a few Stampin’ Dimensionals, I added some Pool Party Sheer Ribbon (cut in half vertically) underneath. For a bit of bling, I sprinkled on a few Gold Glitter Enamel Dots and Woven Threads Sequins.
