october 31st…

08.18.20…..Happy Tuesday, my stampin’ friends! I just love the new Festive Post Stamp Set, from the new August-December 2020 Stampin’ Up! Mini Catalog! I also love that it coordinates with the Rectangular Postage Stamp Punch…and I have to admit, that I’m a little obsessed with the little brooms stamp! It’s soooooo perfect for Halloween projects and cards!

For this card, I started with some Whisper White Cardstock, embossed it with the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder, and adhered it to a Whisper White Thick Cardstock base. I then used a Sponge Dauber to add some Pumpkin Pie to another piece of Whisper White Cardstock, and stamped the brooms (from the Festive Post Stamp Set) with my Tuxedo Black Memento Pad. I also used my Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker to add some speckling, by “flicking” the thick end of the marker against the edge of the marker cap. Before I used a few Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere it to the card base, I added a thin strip of Basic Black Cardstock, cut out with one of the Ornate Borders Dies.

Before I stamped “October 31st” (also from the Festive Post Stamp Set) on Whisper White Cardstock, I used a couple of Sponge Daubers to add.some Rich Razzleberry and Pumpkin Pie, punched it out with the coordinating Rectangular Postage Stamp Punch, and popped it up with a few more Stampin’ Dimensionals. I then stamped just “October” with my Tuxedo Black Memento Pad, cut it out and popped it up with a few Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals. To add some fun texture, I created a bow with the Black/White Baker’s Twine (from the Playful Pets Trim Combo Pack). For a bit of bling, I sprinkled on a few Artistry Blooms Sequins.

Wishing you creativity always,

The 2020-2021 catalog is sooooo jam-packed with soooooo many amazing stamps sets, accessories, and more….and I know your wish list will be overflowing before you know it!
