01.17.21…..Happy Sunday, everyone! Today, I decided to create a watercolor card, with a simple layout. I always enjoy creating watercolor backgrounds like this, because each one is unique! I hope this card inspires you to experiment with some watercoloring as well!
To create the watercolored background, I started with a piece of Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper, and misted it with my Stampin’ Spritzer. I then used one of my Water Painters…along with Magenta Madness, Bermuda Bay, and Just Jade…to add a wash of color. I misted the paper just a bit more with my Stampin’ Spritzer (filled with water), then sat back and watched the magic happen. As the colors started to run together, I also added a few more spritzes here and there. After I was satisfied with the results, I used my Heat Tool to dry the paper. To add the extra little water spots, I dipped my fingertips in a bit of water, and “flicked” them above the paper. This time, I let the paper dry on it’s own, and did not use my heat tool.
Once the paper was dry, I layered some Magenta Madness Cardstock underneath, and adhered it to the white card base with a few Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The sentiment (from the See the Good Stamp Set) was heat-embossed, using my Versamark Pad and Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder. After I cut it out, I popped it up with a few more Stampin’ Dimensionals. For a bit of bling, I sprinkled on several of the Woven Threads Sequins.
