#tgifc301 – because adulting is hard…

01.29.21…Happy Friday , everyone! It’s already time for another TGIF Challenge! Today, we have a Designer Takeover Challenge for you! We have such a fun challenge for you this week too. This week our challenge is brought to you by our fabulous Design Team member – Stesha Bloodhart! That’s right, my friends, break out your favorite plaid stamp, Designer Series Paper, or whatever you’d like…just add some plaid!

For this card, I started with some white cardstock, and embossed it with the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder. After I layered some Granny Apple Green Cardstock underneath, I adhered the entire panel to a white cardstock base. Layer on top of that are two strips of Berry Delightful DSP (from the new Sale-A-Bration Catalog).

I then added the Night of Navy Frayed Grosgrain Ribbon (from the Boho Indigo Product Medley). To create the ruffles, I cut the ribbon in half vertically, added a strip of Tear & Tape Adhesive to the card base, and looped the ribbon back and forth, pressing it onto the adhesive as I went along.

I used one of the Stitched Circle Dies to cut out some white cardstock, and embossed it with the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder. I also used one of the Layering Circles Dies to cut out a scalloped circle, layered it underneath, and popped it up with a few Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The cocktail glass (from the Nothing’s Better Than Bundle) were each “stamped off” with my Tuxedo Black Memento Pad. To color the cocktail glass, I used the following Stampin’ Blends Combo Packs…..Granny Apple Green, Balmy Blue, and Night of Navy. After I cut it out with one of the coordinating dies from the Nothing’s Better Than Bundle, I popped them up with a few Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals. The sentiment (also from the Nothing’s Better Than Bundle) was stamped with Night of Navy, cut out, and popped up with a few more Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The “Cocktails” sentiment was cut out with one of the dies from the Nothing’s Better Than Bundle. First, I cut it out from some Night of Navy Cardstock. Next, I used my the same Stampin’ Blends Markers (that I used for the cocktail glass, to color an ombre pattern on some white cardstock. I then cut out the sentiment again, and layered the Night of Navy sentiment underneath. For a bit of bling, I sprinkled on a a Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels, and a couple of Artistry Blooms Sequins.

Wishing you creativity always,

The 2020-2021 catalog is sooooo jam-packed with soooooo many amazing stamps sets, accessories, and more….and I know your wish list will be overflowing before you know it!

  1. LOVE this card, Tammy! I actually thought you had watercolored the cocktail glass and sentiment when I saw the card. I never would have guessed it was colored with Blends. Great job!!
