02.12.21…..Happy Friday , everyone! It’s already time for another TGIF Challenge! We love bringing you weekly paper-crafting inspiration, and are so excited to have you join us in using this week’s sketch challenge! It should be a great one to spark some good creativity! We hope you have a chance to play along with us today! We would love to see what you create!
For this card, I started with some Bermuda Bay Cardstock, embossed it with the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder, and adhered it to a Bermuda Bay Cardstock base. I then embossed some Basic White Cardstock with the Ornate Floral 3D Embossing Folder, layered Basic Black Cardstock underneath, and used a few Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere it to the card base. On top of that, I added a strip of 2020-2022 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper and a strip of Brights 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper.
To create the three flowers, I stamped the solid flower image (from the Pretty Perennials Bundle) in Bermuda Bay. (To give the image a softer look, I actually stamped it “off” on a scrap of paper, quickly misted the stamp with my Stampin’ Spritzer, and then stamped the image on Basic White Thick Cardstock.) Once the paper was dry, I cut out the flowers with the coordinating die from the same bundle, and popped them up with few more Stampin’ Dimensionals. The centers of the flowers were created with additional dies from the bundle, along with Bermuda Bay Cardstock, Bumblebee Cardstock, and Basic Black Cardstock.
The sentiment (from the Hydrangea Haven Bundle) was heat-embossed on Basic Black Cardstock, using my Versamark Pad and White Stampin’ Emboss Powder, and cut out with one of the Stitched Rectangle Dies. For my bow, I used Whisper White Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon and Bumblebee Gingham Ribbon (cut in half vertically. For an extra bit of subtle bling and texture, I sprinkled on a few of the 2020-2022 In Color Enamel Dots and In Good Taste Elements.
Wishing you creativity always,

Oh, Tammy, you have made my Friday with this amazing card. I still sit with my mouth open and appreciate the finished art piece and, then, “put on different glasses” to see all of the different techniques you have used. End product has tastefully used many components that work together without drawing attention to any one part. Today’s piece reminds me of doing a corsage on a card!
