05.07.2021…..Happy Friday, everyone! It’s already time for another TGIF Challenge! It’s color challenge week…It’s always a fun week for us! We LOVE color challenges, and based off of all the great cards y’all usually share with us on Color Challenge weeks – you love them too!
We’re so excited to have you join us for this week’s Color Challenge…..Mango Melody, Daffodil Delight, and Magenta Madness! This month’s color challenge is bright, cheery, and fun and hopefully inspires you to create to your heart’s content lots of cute cards or other paper projects!
For the card, I started with some Basic White Cardstock, and stamped one of the leaf images (from the Forever Fern Stamp Set) in Daffodil Delight. (I “stamped off” at time or two, so that I could get a lighter image.) I then embossed the cardstock with the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder.
Before I tore off the top and bottom edges, I added some speckling with my Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends Marker. (To create the speckling, I “flicked” the thick end of the marker against the inside edge of the marker cap, “flicking” outward towards the cardstock.) I also added some of the new Hand-Penned Designer Series Paper underneath, and then some Basic White Cardstock underneath that. I adhered the entire panel to a Basic White Thick Cardstock base, using a few Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I used Mango Melody and Magenta Madness (“stamped off” once) to stamp the berries and leaves (from the Forever Fern Stamp Set), and cut them out with the coordinating Forever Flourishing Dies.
The sentiment (also from the Forever Fern Stamp Set) was heat-embossed on Basic White Thick Cardstock, using my Versamark Pad and Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder. Tucked underneath the sentiment, is a Vellum Cardstock border, cut out with one of the Painted Labels Dies.
I created the bow with some White Baker’s Twine and Bumblebee Gingham Ribbon (cut in half vertically). For a bit of bling, I add a couple of Artistry Blooms Adhesive-Backed Sequins, a few of the new 2021-2023 In Color Jewels, and one of the new Bumblebee Trinkets …aren’t they just the cutest?
