henna hearts tutorial…

06.07.21…..Happy Tuesday, everyone! Today, I’m sharing a mini tutorial for projects that I recently created for the Stampin’ Up! Corporate Facebook Page, featuring the Henna Hearts Stamp Set, from the brand new Stampin’ Up! 2021-2022 Annual Catalog! To create the sentiments, I paired this stamp set with Ornate Thanks Stamp Set! This new catalog is sooooo jam-packed with soooooo many amazing stamps sets, accessories, and more….and I know your wish list will be overflowing before you know it!

The Henna Hearts Stamp Set is so beautiful, and paring it with the Ornate Thanks Stamp Set worked out perfectly! Of course, the Henna Hearts Stamp Set would work wonderfully with a wide assortment of other sentiments, as well!

To create each of the hearts for my each of my projects, I stamped the large heart in my Coastal Cabana Classic Stampin’ Pad, and stamped it off once on a paper scrap. I then used a Sponge Dauber, along with my Granny Apple Green Classic Stampin’ Pad, to add a bit of extra color.

Before I stamped the heart on Basic White Thick Cardstock, I misted it just a bit with a Stampin’ Spritzer. After I stamped each heart, I quickly wiped off the stamp with a paper towel, before I stamped the next one. Once I finished stamping the hearts, I used my Coastal Cabana Classic Stampin’ Pad to add the filigree designs. I then embossed the cardstock with the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder, and added a bit of speckling with my Light Bermuda Bay Stampin’ Blends Marker. (To create the speckling, I “flicked” the thick end of the marker against the inside edge of the marker cap, and “flicked” outward, towards the cardstock.)

For each of my three projects, I added some extra texture to the background by embossing some Basic White Thick Cardstock with the Macramé 3D Embossing Folder.

The sentiments, from the Ornate Thanks Stamp Set, were heat-embossed on Basic Black Cardstock, using a Versamark Pad and the white embossing powder from the Basic Stampin’ Emboss Powders

To add a bit of bling to each my projects, I sprinkled on some Genial Gems and Artistry Blooms Adhesive-Backed Sequins.

I also created a small ruffle underneath the sentiment on this card, using the Pool Party 3/8” Sheer Ribbon, cut in half vertically. To create the ruffle, I added a bit of Tear & Tape Adhesive, and “looped” the ribbon back and forth along the adhesive strip.

For the gift tag, I tore the bottom edge of both the Basic White Thick Cardstock and the Coastal Cabana Cardstock. I also stamped one of the filigree stamps in Coastal Cabana, along the bottom edge of the Coastal Cabana Cardstock.  The bow and the tag hanger were both created with Pool Party 3/8” Sheer Ribbon, cut in half vertically. To attach the bow, I punch a hole at the top of the tag with the Detailed Trio Punch.
