07.05.2021…..Happy Monday, everyone! Today, I’m excited to share the Artisan Design Team project I created for the current Stampin’ Up! Designer Series Paper Promotion! The In Good Taste Designer Series Paper that I used for this wall hanging is such a wonderful, eclectic collection of faux-wood and textile-look images! I love how the different patterns can be layered together to give your projects extra dimension. On the panels for my wall hanging, I used die cuts with one of the wood-look patterns, and layered two different patterns together for the background.
~~~ DON’T MISS OUT THE DESIGNER SERIES PAPER PROMOTION…NOW THROUGH AUGUST 2, 2021! ~~~
For this project, I used three different patterns of the In Good Taste DSP. For the leaves and floral die cuts, I used a light wood pattern, along with the Artistic Dies. Underneath the die cuts, I used a darker wood pattern, and then a filigree/tile pattern underneath that.
I also recycled the cardboard backing that comes with each package of Designer Series Paper. To make the three panels more sturdy, I cut down the cardboard backing to fit under both the the smaller pieces of dark wood DSP and the larger filigree-patterned DSP.
On the dark wood DSP pieces, I also punch small holes in each of the four corners, then added a black Round & Square Brads. I also sanded the round brads just the tiniest bit with some fine grain sandpaper, to distress them a bit. I then used a several Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the dark wood pieces to the filigee-patterned pieces.
To attach the three panels to the branch, I punched small holes in each of the top corners, then tied them onto the branch with Linen Thread. The sentiment (from the Ornate Thanks Stamp Set) was heat-embossed on Basic Black Cardstock, using my Versamark Pad and White Stampin’ Emboss Powder, cut out, and popped up with a few more Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Wishing you creativity always,
