it’s friends like you…

11.21.2021…..Happy Sunday, my stampin’ friends! Today, I’m sharing another card that I created with the Whimsical Trees Bundle….which I’m sooooo obsessed with! And…I actually used mostly scraps from other projects to create this card, incuding the card base! Of course, I had to add some bling and added a “Tammy bow”, too! Hope this inspires you to add a “whimsical” touch to your holiday projects!

For this card, I started out with some Basic White Cardstock, embossed it with Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder, and adhered it to a Basic White Thick Cardstock base. On top of that, I added two pieces of the Whimsy & Wonder Speciality Designer Series Paper.

Next, I used one of the stamps from the Whimsical Trees Bundle, to stamp the little trees in Mint Macaron. I also “stamped off” a few the trees, to add some extra depth. To create the speckling on the trees, I “flicked” the thick end of my Dark Mint Macaron Stampin’ Blends Marker against the inside edge of the marker cap, and “flicked” outward towards the cardstock.

For some shimmer, I added one of the Wonderful Snowflakes, and layered another little snowflake on top (created with the Stitched Snowflake Dies and Silver Foil Specialty Pack Paper. The sentiment (also from the Evergreen Elegance Stamp Set, was heat-embossed on Basic White Thick Cardstock, using my Versamark Pad and Silver Embossing Powder, and cut out with one of the Tailor Made Tags Dies. For some extra texture, I added some Blushing Bride Frayed Grosgrain Ribbon (cut in half vertically) and White Baker’s Twine. For a bit of bling, I sprinkled on Subtle Shimmer Sequins.

Wishing you creativity always,
