holly jolly christmas…

11.29.2021…..Happy Monday, everyone! Among other crafty things, I’m also obsessed with making banners! So…why not create another one, and this time, I used some traditional Christmas colors! I also used several products from the Painter Christmas Suite…..the Christmas Season Bundle, Christmas to Remember Bundle, Painted Christmas Designer Series Paper, and the Cherry Cobbler & Gold Metallic Ribbon. I hope this project inspires you to create some fun, festive holiday decor this season!

You can find these amazing products in the Stampin’ Up! 2021 July – December Mini Catalog. This holiday catalog is sooooo jam-packed with soooooo many amazing stamps sets, accessories, and more….and I know your wish list will be overflowing before you know it!

The base for each layered label was created with two of the dies from the Christmas Season Bundle, Basic White Thick Cardstock, and one of the patterns of paper from the Painted Christmas DSP. The smaller Basic White Thick Cardstock label was also embossed with the Timber 3D Embossing Folder. I then used a few Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the smaller label to the larger label.

(Tip: To make the labels a bit sturdier, die cut both of the labels a second time from Basic White Thick Cardstock, and adhered them underneath each of the original labels.)

To create the banner, I punched two small holes at the top of each label, threaded two strands of white Baker’s Twine (each approximately 24” long) through each of the labels, and tied a knot at each end.

I cut 4” lengths of Cherry Cobbler & Gold Metallic Ribbon, Black & White Gingham Ribbon (both cut in half lengthwise), and… Very Vanilla Scalloped Lace Trim.

(Tip: Do not cut your pieces of ribbon much shorter than 4”, otherwise you will not able to tie them in a knot.)

(Tip: To create a fluffier banner, add more ribbon and tightly push the ribbon pieces together.)

To create the pinecones and pine branches, I used dies from the Christmas to Remember Bundle…along with Soft Suede, Crumb Cake, and Evening Evergreem Cardstock.

The sentiments (from the Christmas to Remember Bundle) were heat-embossed on Basic Black Cardstock, using my Versamark Pad and White Stampin’ Emboss Powder. I fussy-cut the smaller sentiments, and cut out the larger sentiment with one of the Tasteful Labels Dies. For a bit of bling, I sprinkled on several of the Wonderful Gems.

Wishing you creativity always,
