12.31.2021…..Happy Friday, my stampin’ friends! It’s already time for another TGIF Challenge! So here we are, wrapping up another year, bringing a calendar year to a close. How appropriate then is this week’s challenge…it’s all about CLOSURE! Just add a closure to your card, using…ribbon, a belly band, a fancy flap, or whatever suits your fancy!

“For this card, I used a 5-1/2″ x 11″ piece of Basic White Thick Cardstock. I then scored it lengthwise at 4-1/4″ and 8-1/2”. On the left side of the card, I add some Hand-Penned Designer Series Paper. On the right flap, I added another piece Hand-Penned Designer Series Paper, and use one of the Basic Border Dies to trim the flap into a “chevron” shape.
For the focal point of the card, I cut out a Basic White Thick Cardstock circle (using one of the Layering Circles Dies), and embossed it with the Pretty Flowers Embossing Folder. Layered underneath, I a Blushing Bride scalloped circle, cut out with another one of the Layering Circles Dies. Before I popped it up with a few Stampin’ Dimensionals, I punched a tinyt hole on the left side of the circle, so that I could add my Pale Papaya Ribbon (which I cut in half lengthwise).
To create the butterflies, I used my Blending Brushes to add a bit of Pale Papaya and Blushing Bride to some Basic White Thick Cardstock. I then cut out the butterflies with the Brilliant Wings Dies. For a bit of bling, I added Elegant Faceted Gems and gold Metallic Pearls.
