stampin’ fancy friday – color challenge…

05.17.2022…..Happy Tuesday, my stampin’ friends! Today, I wanted to share a card that I created for this month’s Stampin’ Fancy Friday challenge! It’s a “Color Combo Challenge”, which is ALWAYS fun!

For my color combo, I chose two of the new In Colors…Tahitian Tide and Parakeet Party…to use for my color combo. I paired them with Pacific Point, which is actually a color I don’t use very often. This may just be one of my favorite color combos ever!

Be sure to join us to see what our Stampin’ Fancy Friday team created and…the gorgeous color combos they chose! We have 24 projects to share, and each with a different color combo!

Then you create with a color combo of your own or use one from our team, share your project on IG or FB and tag us by using #stampinfancyfriday or #fancyfridaychallenges in your post. We will share in our stories to inspire others as well!

To create this card, I started with Parakeet Party Cardstock, embossed it with the Timber 3D Embossing Folder, and adhered it to a Parakeet Party Cardstock base. I then used a Blending Brush to add soft swirls of Tahitian Tide to Basic White Thick Cardstock. I cut out the cardstock with the Stitched Greenery Die, layered a slightly larger piece of Basic White Thick Cardstock underneath, and used Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere it to card base.

To create the the colorful butterflies, I started with some Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper. I then used a Water Painter to add Parakeet Party, Tahitian Tide, and Pacific Point to the paper. Once the paper was dry, I used the Brilliant Wings Dies to cut out the four different butterflies. I also used tiny snippets of Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals to pop up the butterflies.

The sentiment (from the Lovely You Stamp Set) was heat-embossed on Basic White Thick Cardstock, using my Versamark Pad and Silver Stampin’ Emboss Powder, and popped it up with a few more Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals. For a bit of bling, I sprinkled on Glossy Dots, in Pool Party.

Wishing you creativity always,
