12.18.2022…..Happy Sunday, my stampin’ friends! Today, I wanted to share a card that I created for this month’s Stampin’ Fancy Friday challenge! It’s a fun, creative “ Use Your Stash Challenge”.
When I saw theme of this challenge, I immediately knew I was going to use the Whimsical Trees Bundle (from the July – Dec 2021 Mini Catalog), along with the Whimsy & Wonder Designer Series Paper. For the background, I used a Blending Brush, along with Misty Moonlight (one of the 2020-2022 Colors). To add an extra bit of sparkle, I used the Be Dazzling Specialty Paper (from the 2021 Sale-A-Bration Catalog), Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels, and Iridescent Pearl Basic Jewels.
Be sure to join us to see what our Stampin’ Fancy Friday team created. We have 27 amazing projects to share, and each using a unique product inspiration from products in their stash!
Then…..you create a card or project, with inspiration of your own (or use one from our team)…..using anything you have in your stash! (aka collection) Could be new, could be an old favorite that you kept, could be something you hoarded and wanted to finally use.. Share your project on IG or FB and tag us by using #stampinfancyfriday or #fancyfridaychallenges in your post.

For this card, I started with some Basic White Thick Cardstock, embossed it with the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder, and adhered it to a Basic White Thick Cardstock base. I then add two different patterned papers from the Whimsy & Wonder DSP.
To create the background, I used a Blending Brush to add soft swirls of Misty Moonlight to some Basic White Thick Cardstock. I then stamped the tree (from the Whimsical Trees Bundle) several times, using my Misty Moonlight Classic Stampin’ Pad. Next, I used my Water Painter to “flick” water drops across the cardstock, then dried it with a Heat Tool, I then my Water Painter, along with a few drops of my White Craft Ink Refill (mixed with a tiny bit of water) to add some white speckles. (To create the speckling, I “flicked” the end of the brush against the inside edge of the brush cap, and “flicked” outward towards the cardstock.) Once the cardstock was dry, I used one of the Stitched with Whimsy Dies to create a little bit of a border, then popped it up with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

To create the tall, narrow trees, I used a Water Painter to add Polished Pink and Mint Macaron to Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper. Once the paper was dry, I cut out the trees with two little tree dies (from the Whimsical Trees Bundle), and popped them up with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals. For the large tree, I used the Be Dazzling Specialty Paper (from the 2021 Sale-A-Bration Catalog), along with the larger tree die from the Whimsical Trees Bundle.
The sentiment (from the Whimsical Trees Bundle) was heat-embossed on Basic White Thick Cardstock, using my Versamark Pad and Silver Stampin’ Emboss Powder. To create the bow, I used a Light Polished Pink to color some White Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon, then cut the ribbon in half lengthwise. For a bit of bling, I sprinkled on Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels, and Iridescent Pearl Basic Jewels.
Wishing you creativity always,
