#tgifc411 – sketch challenge…

03.10.2023…..Happy Friday, my stampin’ friends! It’s already time for another TGIF Challenge! This week we have a fabulous sketch challenge for you! Sketch challenges are one of my faves, and it seems like y’all really love them, too! Hope this card inspires you to create a fun, unique card using this week’s challenge!

For this card, I started Country Gingham Designer Series Paper, and adhered it to a Basic White Thick Cardstock base. Next, I embossed some Basic White Thick Cardstock with the Hive 3D Embossing Folder, layered a slightly large piece of Basic Whie Thick Cardstock underneath, and popped up the entire panel with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

To create the colorful sunflower, I used a Water Painter to add Fresh Freesia, Mint Macaron, and Tahitian Tide to some Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper. After I dried the paper with a Heat Tool, I cut out the sunflower with one of the Sunflowers Dies. I then used one of the other Sunflower Dies, along with some Basic White Thick Cardstock, to create the top layer of the sunflower.

To add an extra bit of texture, I created a bow with Pool Party Grosgrain Ribbon (cut in half lengthwise) and White Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon. The sentiment (from the Hello Beautiful Stamp Set) was heat-embossed on Basic White Thick Cardstock, using my Versamark Pad and Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder. After I cut out the sentiment with one of the Stylish Shapes Dies, I popped it up with Stampin’ Dimensionals. For a bit of bling, I sprinkled on Pastel Adhesive-Backed Gems and For Everything Fancy Sequins.
