beach love…

08.23.2023…..Happy Wednesday, everyone! Today, I was in the mood to create a “clean and simple” card, and I decided to give it a beach vibe as well. I used the Alphabet A La Mode Dies to create the lettering, along with a simple background created with ink, Blending Brushes, and a Water Painter (for the water droplets). Hope this inspires you “clean and simple” card as well!

For this card, I started with Basic White Thick Cardstock, embossed it with the Timber 3D Embossing Folder, and adhered a slightly wider strip of Basic White Thick Cardstock underneath. I then used Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the entire panel to the card base.

To create the background I used a Blending Brush to add random swirls of Boho Blue, Pecan Pie, and Gray Granite to Basic White Thick Cardstock. I then used a Water Painter to splatter droplets on the cardstock. After I dried the paper with a Heat Tool, I used one of the Deckled Rectangle Dies to cut out the rectangle. I then used the Alphabet A La Mode Dies, along with Basic White Thick Cardstock and a Foam Sheet, to create the lettering. For a little extra detail, I used the Seaside Bay Dies to cut out two Basic White Thick Cardstock seashells.

The sentiment (from the Sentimental Park Stamp Set) was heat-embossed on Basic Black Cardstock, using my Versamark Pad and White Stampin’ Embossing Powder. After I cut out the sentiment with one of the Cracker & Treat Box Dies, I wrapped Linen Thread around the panel, and tied a bow. For a bit of bling, I add Iridescent Pearl Basic Jewels and Adhesive-Backed Sparkle Gems.

Wishing you creativity always,
