stamping sunday blog hop – CASE the catalog…

06.16.2024…..Happy Sunday, my stampin’ friends! For our Stamping Sunday Blog Hop this month, we are showcasing our “CASE the Catalog” projects that we created, using a card or project featured in the featured in the current Stampin’ Up! 2024-2025 Annual Catalog as our inspiration.

For my card, I decided to CASE one of the cards created with the Pocket Thoughts Dies…..on Page 62 of the catalog (shown below). Hope this card inspires you to create a card or project using this month’s challenge!

For my card, I started with some Basic White Thick Cardstock, embossed it with the Eyelet 3D Embossing Folder, and adhered it to a Basic Black Cardstock base. I then added some Country Woods Designer Series Paper, and popped with up with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

For the next layer, I embossed some Basic White Thick Cardstock with the Distressed Tile 3D Embossing Folder, adhered a slightly larger piece of Basic White Thick Cardstock underneath, and popped up the entire panel with more Stampin’ Dimensionals.

To create the three little pockets, I used the smallest Pocket Thoughts Dies, along with the Country Lace Designer Series Paper. For the little tags, I used the Country Woods Designer Series Paper, and added some Basic White Thick Cardstock underneath each tag (just to make them a bit more sturdy). Next, I trimmed the top corners of the tags by hand, and attached some Petal Pink Diagonal Trim at the top of each tag, using a mini stapler.

To create the leaves, I used Blending Brushes to add Soft Sea Foam to Basic White Thick Cardstock, and added some speckling with an Early Espresso Stampin’ Write Marker. I then used on of the Textured Floral Dies to cut out the branches. I used the same technique for the little flowers, but used Coastal Cabana instead. I cut out the flowers with one of the Lovely & Sweet Dies.

The sentiments (from the Thoughtful Expressions Stamp Set and Choose Happy Stamp Set) were heat-embossed on Basic White Thick Cardstock, using my Versamark Pad, along with Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder. For a bit of bling, I added one of the Iridescent Pearl Basic Jewels to the center of each flower.

Wishing you creativity always,

You won’t want to miss any of this month’s projects!
