03.01.2024…..Happy Friday, my stampin’ friends! I absolutely love the Notes of Nature Bundle, from the Stampin’ Up! January – April 2024 Mini Catalog! I’ve been having so much fun using it with unexpected color combos, and today I decided to use it with Flirty Flamingo, Melon Mambo, and Granny Apple Green. Hope this card inspires inspires you to create a card or project with a fun, bright color combo, too!
For this card, I started with Basic White Thick Cardstock, and adhered it to a Melon Mambo Cardstock base. Next, I embossed another piece of Basic White Thick Cardstock with the Distressed Tile 3D Embossing Folder, and used Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere it to the card base.
To create the colorful background, I started with some Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper, and cut it with one of the Deckled Rectangle Dies. Next, I stamp several images from the Notes of Nature Bundle, using Flirty Flamingo, Melon Mambo, and Granny Apple Green Classic Stampin’ Pads. To create the watercolor effect, I spritzed the paper several times with a Stampin’ Spritzer (filled with water). After I dried the paper with a Heat Tool, I used Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere it to the card base.
The sentiment (from the Color & Contour Stamp Set) was heat-embsossed on Basic White Thick Cardstock, using my Versamark Pad and Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder. I then used one of the Nested Essential Dies to cut out the sentiment. To add an extra bit of texture, I added Lemon Lime Twist Ribbon (cut in half lengthwise) from the Ribbon Duo Combo Pack, and White Baker’s Twine (with a few of the threads pulled out. For a bit of bling, I sprinkled on embellishments from the Tinsel Gems Four-Pack.
