you make my heart smile…

08.05.2024…..Happy Monday, my stampin’ friends! I’m finally getting around to playing with the Layers of Beauty Bundle a bit more. I love that you can use this bundle for lots of different techniques! Today, I decided to emboss the large bouquet on Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper, and then used a Water Painter, along with several ink colors to color the image. Hope this card inspires you to create a card or projects using wonderful bundle, too!

For this card, I started with some Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper, and embossed it with the Distressed Tile 3D Embossing Folder. I then added some speckling with a Light Pecan Pie Stampin’ Blends Marker, and adhered it to a Pecan Pie Cardstock base. Next, I heat-embossed the large bouquet image (from the Layers of Beauty Bundle) on another piece of Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper, using my Versamark Pad and White Embossing Powder. To color in the embossed image, I used a Water Painter, along with Flirty Flamingo, Poppy Parade, Daffodil Delight, Crushed Curry, Old Olive, Mossy Meadow, and Pecan Pie. Next, I added speckling with a Light Pecan Pie Stampin’ Blends Marker. After I cut out the image with the coordinating die from the same bundle, I used Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere it to the card base.

The sentiment (from the Layers of Beauty Bundle) was heat-embossed on Basic White Thick Cardstock, using my Versamark Pad and Gold Embossing Powder. To add extra bit of texture, I adhered a Linen Thread bow underneath the sentiment, For a bit bling, I sprinkled on embellishments from the Opal Rounds Assortment.

Wishing you creativity always,
