stampin’ fancy friday – in color spotlight…

08.19.2025…..Happy Tuesday, my stampin’ friends! Today, I’m sharing a card that I created for this month’s Stampin’ Fancy Friday challenge! It’s an “In Color Spotlight” challenge! Our team members each created a fancy project using any In Colors…..old or new! Needless to say, this challenge is overflowing with lots of creativity and inspiration!

For my card, I used two current In Colors…..Strawberry Slush and Timid Tiger. To create this card, I used Blending Brushes to apply both colors to Basic White Thick Cardstock, then tore the edges. I used the same technique for the stem, splattered water droplets, then cut it out with one of the Beautiful Motifs Dies.

Be sure to join us to see what our Stampin’ Fancy Friday team created. We have a total of 25 amazing projects to share this month, and each using their own unique interpretation of the challenge!

Then…..when you CASE one of our SFF teammates, share your project on IG or FB and tag us by using #stampinfancyfriday or #fancyfridaychallenges in your post. We will share in our stories to inspire others as well!

For this card, I started with some Basic White Thick Cardstock, and adhered it to a Timid Tiger Cardstock base. I then embossed another piece of Basic White Thick Cardstock with the Eyelet 3D Embossing Folder, and tore off the bottom right edge. Next, I used Blending Brushes to add Strawberry Slush and Timid Tiger to Basic White Thick Cardstock, tore of the edges, and adhered them to the bottom right corner of the the embossed cardstock. I also used Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the entire panel to the card base.

I used one of the Impressions Abloom Dies to cut out an oval from Basic White Thick Cardstock, and embossed it with the Pressed Flowers Embossing Folder. To create the colorful branch, I used Blending Brushes to apply Strawberry Slush and Timid Tiger to Basic White Thick Cardstock. I then used a Water Painter to splatter water droplets, then cut it out with one of the Beautiful Motifs Dies. I also cut out a second branch from Basic White Thick Cardstock.

The sentiment (from the Blooming Phrases Stamp Set) was heat-embossed on Basic White Thick Cardstock, using my Versamark Pad and Gold Embossing Powder. For some rustic texture, I added a bow using White 1/4″ Ribbon and Gold 1/8″ Trim…..both cut in half lengthwise. To add a bit of bling, I sprinkled on Iridescent Faceted Gems and Strawberry Slush & Pretty in Pink Gems.

Wishing you creativity always,
