stampin’ fancy friday – inspired by water challenge…

06.15.2026…..Happy Monday, my stampin’ friends! Today, I’m sharing a card that I created for this month’s Stampin’ Fancy Friday challenge! It’s an “Inspired by Water” challenge! Our team members each created a fancy project using “water” as their inspiration. They made their own version of water, or used DSP, a water/ocean/lake scene, and even watercoloring techniques, etc. Needless to say, this challenge is overflowing with lots of creativity and inspiration!

For my card, I used the All Aflutter Bundle to heat-emboss the floral images on Basic White Thick Cardstock, using Black Embossing Powder. I then used a Water Painter to color the images with Daffodil Delight and Balmy Blue. To create the background, I used a Water Painter to add Daffodil Delight and Balmy Blue to Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper.

Be sure to join us to see what our Stampin’ Fancy Friday team created. We have a total of 22 amazing projects to share for February, and each using their own unique interpretation of the challenge!

Then…..when you CASE one of our SFF teammates, share your project on IG or FB and tag us by using #stampinfancyfriday or #fancyfridaychallenges in your post. We will share in our stories to inspire others as well!

For this card, I started with some Basic White Thick Cardstock, and adhered it to a Balmy Blue Cardstock base. To create the background, I used a Water Painter to add Daffodil Delight and Balmy Blue to Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper. After I dried the paper with a Heat Tool, I layered some Basic White Thick Cardstock underneath, and used Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the panel to the card base.

To create the branches, I used Blending Brushes to add Daffodil Delight and Balmy Blue to Basic White Thick Cardstock, then cut out the branches with one of the Fern & Flora Dies. I also used another one of the Fern & Flora Dies to cut out a branch from Basic White Thick Cardstock.

The butterflies (from the All Aflutter Bundle) were heat-embossed on Basic White Thick Cardstock, using Black Embossing Powder. To color the images, I used a Water Painter, along with Daffodil Delight and Balmy Blue.. After I cut them out with the coordinating paper punch, I popped them up with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Dies.

The sentiment (from the All Aflutter Bundle) was heat-embossed on Basic Black Cardstock, using my Versamark Pad and White Embossing Powder. To create the bow, I used Balmy Blue 1/4″ Gingham Ribbon (cut in half lengthwise). For a bit of bling, I sprinkled on Iridescent Pearl Basic Jewels and Sunset Sparkle Sequins.

Wishing you creativity always,
