give thanks… (#gdp152)

Labels to Love - Give Thanks by Tammy C. Wilson

08.26.18….. OK, let’s just get right to it, my stamping friends!  I know what your thinking.  Thanksgiving is still three months away, and she’s already posting a seasonal card!  I can explain…..

As a SU demonstrator, I was able to pre-order from  the new Stampin’ Up! 2018 Holiday Catalog.  (Customer orders can be placed between September 5 – January 2, 2018.)  This new catalog is chockful of so many amazing products!  That being said, I pre-ordered several items from the Country Lane Suite, which has a country/harvest theme, and I just couldn’t wait to get going on some new Fall projects.

I also couldn’t wait to create a card for the latest Global Design Project (#GDP152 – CASE the Designer), so I decided to incorporate that into my card design as well.

I dry embossed a piece of the NEW Galvanized Metallic Paper, using the NEW Tin Tile Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (…don’t you love the antique tin feel that it creates!), and adhered it to a Whisper White card base.  I layered on two pieces of the NEW Country Lane Designer Series Paper, and distressed the corners just a bit.  I also die cut a scalloped circle (using Vellum Cardstock and one of the Layering Circle Framelits), as well a die cut doily (using Whisper White Cardstock and one of the Stitched Labels Framelits).

I heat embossed the sentiment (from the Labels to Love stamp set) on a small piece of the Wood Textures Designer Series Paper, using my Versamark Pad and Silver Stampin’ Emboss Powder.  I then used the Everyday Label Punch to cut out the sentiment, and adhered it with a few Stampin’ Dimensionals.  The Blackberry Bliss branches were punched out with the NEW Sprig Punch, and tucked underneath the sentiment.  For a few special details, I added one of the NEW Galvanized Buttons, a Linen Thread bow, and a couple of wooden hearts from the Frames Elements assortment.

TIP:  To add a bit of extra dimension to your project,  fold up a corner or two of your Designer Series Paper.  It’s a fun, little surprise to see just a hint of the other side of the paper, once you fold the corner up!

The new 2018-2019 Stampin’ Up Annual Catalog of chockful of so many wonderful
products! Okay, let’s be honest….it’s absolutely overflowing with some of the most amazing products ever!
