a new adventure…

Woven Threads - Well Said - Tin Tile by Tammy C. Wilson

05.29.19…..Welcome to Wednesday, everyone!  I love the title of this blog, because as far as Stampin’ Up goes, we are all about to embark on an amazing “new adventure”!  Yes, my stampin’ friends, we are just days away (…six days to be exact, but who’s counting?) from the release of the new 2019-2020 Stampin’ Up Annual Catalog.  And that my friends, is an wonderful “adventure”of color and creativity that knows no bounds!

For this card, I used Tin Tile 3D Embossing Folder to dry-emboss a piece of Whisper White Cardstock, and distressed the edges.  I then layered it with one piece Whisper White Cardstock , and adhered the panel to a Whisper White Thick Cardstock base.

Alrighty, now here’s where the “new adventure” begins….

I cut four small rectangles from the new Woven Threads Designer Series Paper (….one of my absolute favs!), overlapped them with one another, and distressed the edges.  After I added a bit of Rose Metallic Thread, I adhered some of the new Woven Threads Trim, using Tear & Tape Adhesive.  (I cut the bottom edge off of the trim to create the “fringe” effect.  In fact, after I trimmed the edge off, I was actually left with a tiny, fringed border that I plan to use on another project.)

The sentiment (from the Well Said stamp set) was heat-embossed on Basic Black Cardstock, using my Versamark Pad and White Stampin’ Emboss Powder.  After I cut out the sentiment, I popped it up with a few Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Ok, I have to admit I went a little crazy…..ok, a lot crazy….with the new Woven Thread Sequin Assortment!  The colors really spoke to me, and they coordinate so beautifully with the new Woven Thread Designer Series Paper.  So much fun!

For the last little detail, I added the tiny key (from the new Bird Ballad Trinkets), along with a snippet of Linen Thread.
