for the love of chocolate…

Bird Ballad - Stitched Nested Labels by Tammy C. Wilson

05.31.19…..Welcome to Thursday, stampers! I just love the Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper from the new 2019-2020 Stampin’ Up Annual Catalog! I also love chocolate (…a lot!!!), so I figured why not combine the Bird Ballad DSP with a sweet chocolate treat. And that my stampin’ friends, is the inspiration for these pretty little candy bar wrappers.

You may begin placing orders from the NEW 2019-2020 Stampin’ Up Annual Catalog on June 4, 2019.

If you still have products on your wish list from the 2018-2019 Stampin’ Up Annual Catalog, you will need to place your order no later than June 3, 2019.

Bird Ballad - Stitched Nested Labels - Petals and Parcels by Tammy C. WilsonFor the blue wrapper, I started with a 5″ x 5-5/8″ piece of the new Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper. I then created a band to wrap around the candy bar, using Crumb Cake Cardstock and one of the Stitched Nested Label Dies. I wanted to add some extra detail to the band, so I used one of Perfect Parcels border dies on each end. (At the end of this post, I’ve included a detailed photo of the band.)

After I punched a small hole on each end of the band, I added a bow (using the 3/8″ Linen Ribbon from the new Magnolia Lane Ribbon Combo Pack) to hold the band together. The sentiment (from the new Petals & Parcels stamp set) was heat-embossed on Basic Black Cardstock, using my Versamark Pad and White Stampin’ Emboss Powder. After I die cut the sentiment (using one of the smaller Stitched Nested Labels Dies), I used the same die to diecut a piece of Bird Ballad DSP. After I layered the two labels together, I attached them to the larger bow, using Whisper White Solid Baker’s Twine. The Old Olive Cardstock leaves were diecut, using one of the new Wild Rose Dies. For those last little details, I sprinkled on a couple of Iridescent Sequins, along with a flower from the new Bird Ballad Trinkets. (I also added a Gold Metallic Pearl in the center of the flower.)

I then created a band to wrap around the candy bar, using Whisper White Thick Cardstock and one of the Stitched Nested Label Dies. I wanted to add some extra detail to the band, so I used one of Perfect Parcels border dies on each end. (At the end of this post, I’ve included a detailed photo of the band.)

After I punched a small hole on each end of the band, I added a bow (using the new 5/8″ Petal Pink Organdy Striped Ribbon) to hold the band together. I also shredded some of the 3/8″ Linen Ribbon (from the new Magnolia Lane Ribbon Combo Pack), and added it to the center of the bow.
