06.14.19…..Happy Friday, my stampin’ friends! The new 2019-2020 Stampin’ Up Annual Catalog has so many wonderful bundles and suites! It makes is super easy to “grab and go” when you need to create a card or project at a moment’s notice. However, the thing I also love about so many of the Stampin’ Up products, is how well they “cross-coordinate” with one another.
That being said, I created this card using the Bloom & Grow Bundle (Bloom & Grow Stamp Set + Budding Blooms Dies). However, I also added in the following products from the Woven Threads Suite…..Woven Threads Designer Series Paper, Woven Threads Trim, and the Woven Threads Sequin Assortment. It’s definitely an unexpected combo!
For this card, I used Tin Tile 3D Embossing Folder to dry-emboss a piece of Whisper White Cardstock, and adhered it to a Whisper White Thick Cardstock base. I also added a wide strip of Woven Threads Designer Series Paper, cut the bottom edge with one of the dies cuts from the Bloom & Grow Bundle, and added a piece of 1/2″ Scalloped Linen Ribbon.
I stamped the sentiment (from the Bloom & Grow Bundle) in Early Espresso on Whisper White Cardstock. After I cut out the sentiment (using one of the Stitched Shapes Dies), I added some speckling with my Sahara Sand Stampin’ Write Marker. (To create the speckling, I “flicked” the thick end of the marker against the edge of the marker cap.) I also stamped the sentiment once more on Sahara Sand Cardstock, cut out “from the”, and popped it up with a Mini Stampin’ Dimensional (cut in half).
The flowers and leaves (all from the Bloom & Grow Bundle) were heat-embossed on Sahara Sand Cardstock (using White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and my Versamark Pad. I used the die cuts from the Bloom & Grow Bundle to cut out each piece, and then used my Aqua Painter (along with Terracotta Tile, Pretty Peacock, and Seaside Spray) to add some color. The larger bouquet is also popped up with a few Stampin’ Dimensionals. Tucked underneath is some Whisper White Baker’s Twine and a bit of Woven Threads Trim. (When you cut the bottom edge off of the Woven Threads Trim, you end up with a piece “mini” fringe, which is what I used on this card.) For just a bit of sparkle, I sprinkled on a few of the Woven Threads Sequins.
The NEW 2019-2020 Stampin’ Up Annual Catalog is chockful of so many wonderful products! Okay, let’s be honest…..it is absolutely overflowing with some of the most amazing products ever! Watch the video above and get your creative juices flowing!
