070519…..Welcome to Friday, everyone! Hope y’all had a wonderful 4th of July! It was a gorgeous day here in Northern California…with lots of festive, local celebrations and events. So much fun!
The new 2019-2020 Stampin’ Up Catalog is in full-swing, and I just can get enough of all of the amazing new products! One of my new favs is the Stitched Nested Label Dies. While the dies are just perfect for creating cards, I’ve also been using them for other projects as well…..such as my “little pockets of goodness”. I thought that name was quite fitting, since each pocket is filled with one of my favorite little chocolate squares!
To create each pocket, I used the largest Stitched Nested Label Die with Seaside Spray Cardstock. For a bit more contrast, I used the next largest die, along with some Woven Threads Designer Series Paper. I then folded up the bottom end of the label to create the pocket. (See the photo at the end of this post for the position of the score lines.)
Using the largest Stitched Nested Label Die again, I cut another label from the Woven Threads Designer Series Paper, and wrapped it around the sides of the Seaside Spray label, adhering it with a bit of Tear & Tape Adhesive. You can either wrap the label around so the ends meet at the back of the Seaside Spray label…or tuck them in and adhere them on the front side of the label. (See the photo at the end of this post for the position of the score lines.)
To decorate the first pocket, I heat-embossed the sentiment (from the Parcels & Petals Bundle) on Crumb Cake Cardstock, using my Versamark Pad and White Stampin’ Emboss Powder. After I die cut it with one of the smaller Stitched Nested Label Dies, I die cut a second label (same size) from a bit of Woven Threads Designer Series Paper. I then used two strands of Linen Thread to attach the tags to the pocket. (I also used a couple of Stampin’ Dimensionals to keep the tags in place.) Tucked underneath, is a Whisper White flowers, created with one of the dies from the To a Wild Rose Bundle. I also used the filigree die from the Parcels & Petals Bundle, along with some Vellum Cardstock, to add a bit more texture. For my little bit of bling, I sprinkled on a few of the Woven Threads Sequins.
To decorate the next pocket, I heat-embossed the sentiment (from the Parcels & Petals Bundle) on Crumb Cake Cardstock, using my Versamark Pad and White Stampin’ Emboss Powder. After I die cut it with one of the smaller Stitched Nested Label Dies, I die cut a second label (same size) from a bit of Woven Threads Designer Series Paper. I then used two strands of Linen Thread to attach the tags to the pocket. (I also used a couple of Stampin’ Dimensionals to keep the tags in place.) Tucked underneath, are two Whisper White leaves, created with one of the dies from the To a Wild Rose Bundle. I also used the filigree die from the Parcels & Petals Bundle, along with some Vellum Cardstock, to add a bit more texture. For my little bit of bling, I sprinkled on a few of the Woven Threads Sequins.
To decorate the last pocket, I heat-embossed the sentiment (from the Parcels & Petals Bundle) on Crumb Cake Cardstock, using my Versamark Pad and White Stampin’ Emboss Powder. After I die cut it with one of the smaller Stitched Nested Label Dies, I die cut a second label (same size) from a bit of Woven Threads Designer Series Paper. I then used two strands of Linen Thread to attach the tags to the pocket. (I also used a couple of Stampin’ Dimensionals to keep the tags in place.) Tucked underneath, is a Whisper White stem, created with one of the Well Written Dies. I also used the filigree die from the Parcels & Petals Bundle, along with some Vellum Cardstock, to add a bit more texture. For my little bit of bling, I sprinkled on a few of the Woven Threads Sequins.
