UPDATE (07.15.19)…..This morning, I was excited to find out my card was not only one of the winners for this week’s Global Design Project #197 (#GDPwinner), I was also honored to be chosen as the Guest Designer for the next Global Design Project Color Challenge! I can’t wait to see what the color combo will be! 😃
07.12.19…..It’s hard to believe the weekend is almost here! Hope you are able to squeeze in a little time these next few days to do something creative! That being said, my “something creative” was inspired by this week’s Global Design Project Color Challenge (#GDP197). I also had not used my Butterfly Gala stamp set in awhile, and I thought it would be just perfect for this project!
I started with a piece of Whisper White Cardstock, and embossed it with the Scripty 3D Embossing Folder. After I tore one edge, I then used my Seaside Spray Stampin’ Write Marker to add some speckling. (For create the speckling, I used the thick end of the marker and “flicked” it against the marker cap.) After I added a strip of Woven Threads Designer Series Paper, I layered it with a piece of Whisper White Cardstock, and used a few Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the entire panel to a Whisper White Thick Cardstock base. For some extra texture, I used Vellum Cardstock. along with one of the Layering Circle Dies, then embossed it with the Eyelet Lace Embossing Folder.
The butterflies (from the Butterly Gala stamp set) were heat-embossed on Whisper White Cardstock, using Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder and my Versamark Pad. After I punched them out with the Butterfly Duet Punch, I used my Aqua Painter (along with Seaside Spray, Terracotta Tile, and Pear Pizzazz) to color them, and then popped them up with a few Stampin’ Dimensionals. The sentiment (from the Well Said stamp set) was also heat-embossed on Whisper White Cardstock, and popped up with a few more Stampin’ Dimensionals. Tucked underneath are a few thin strands of Whisper White Baker’s Twine. For those extra little details, I sprinkled on a couple of gold Metallic Pearls, and a few Woven Thread Sequins.
