07.12.19…..Welcome to Friday afternoon, my stampin’ friends! Once again, this week has seemed to just fly by! I have to say that I love the title of this blog post, because “simply wonderful” is one of the best ways to describe the new 2019-2020 Stampin’ Up Annual Catalog. The “wonderfulness” of the new catalog is beyond…!
Those of you that follow my blog know that I love to add dimension and texture, using a mix embossing folders, DSP, accessories, and more. That being said, today’s card is an fun blend of many of those products.
I started with a piece of Whisper White Cardstock, and embossed it with the Lace 3D Embossing Folder. To add a wash of color, I used Seaside Spray, along with my Aqua Painter. I then used my Sahara Sand Stampin’ Write Marker to add some speckling. (For create the speckling, I used the thick end of the marker and “flicked” it against the marker cap.) After I layered it with a piece of Woven Threads Designer Series Paper, I adhered the entire panel to a Sahara Sand Cardstock base, using a few Stampin’ Dimensionals. For some extra layering, I added another strip of Woven Threads Designer Series Paper, and used one of the Stitched Be Mine Dies to add a tiny decorative border along the top edge. Tucked underneath is a small strip of Sahara Sand Cardstock (torn along the bottom edge).
For a bit of sparkle, I used one of the Stitched Be Mine Dies (along with Sparkle Glimmer Paper) to die cut the three little hearts. After I punched two tiny holes in each heart, I added a bit of Linen Thread and popped them up with a few Stampin’ Dimensionals. The sentiment, from the Bloom & Grow Bundle, was heat-embossed on Whisper White Cardstock, using Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder and my Versamark Pad. After cut out the sentiment, I popped it up with a few more Stampin’ Dimensionals, and tucked a bit of Rose Metallic Thread underneath. For that last bit of bling, I sprinkled on several of the Woven Threads Sequins.
