always thinking of you…

Very Versailles - To a Wild Rose - Stitched Rectangles - Scripty by Tammy C. Wilson

07.19.19…..Happy Friday, everyone!  The weekend is almost here, and summer is heating up quickly in Northern California!  Time for trips to the lake, outdoor barbeques, and…..linen.  Linen…huh???  I love to wear cool, linen clothing when then temperatures starting climbing and that, my stampin’ friends, was the inspiration for this card.  Subtle shades, neutral colors, linen-like textures, and even Linen Thread were incorporated into this design.  Hope you enjoy it!

For this card, I used  the Scripty 3D Embossing Folder along with Whisper White Cardstock, and adhered it to a Whisper White Thick Cardstock base.  Using a smaller piece of Whisper White Cardstock, I used the Birch Background Stamp and my Sahara Sand Classic Stampin’ Pad (“stamped off” twice) to create a very subtle background.  I then used the Very Versailles stamp set to add the leaves (Pear Pizzazz “stamped off” once) and the scripted text (Gray Granite “stamped off” once).  To add some texture, I then used the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder.  I then used my Crumb Cake Stampin’ Write Marker to add some speckling.  (For create the speckling, I used the thick end of the marker and “flicked” it against the marker cap.)

To create the frame, I used two of the Stitched Rectangle Dies, along with a piece of Woven Threads Designer Series Paper.  The flowers (from the To a Wild Rose Bundle) were heat-embossed on Vellum Cardstock, using my Versamark Pad and White Stampin’ Emboss Powder. After I cut them out (using a die from the To a Wild Rose Bundle), I added a Stampin’ Dimensional in the center of each flower to adhere them to the card.

The sentiment (also from the Very Versailles stamp set) was heat-embossed on Whisper White Cardstock, using my Versamark Pad and Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder, and popped up with a few more Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Tucked underneath is a bit of Linen Thread, a thin strip of Whisper White Cardstock (die cut with the one of the Stitched Be Mine Dies to create the scalloped border), and a strip of Subtles Designer Series Paper.  For my bit of bling, I sprinkled on a few gold Metallic Pearls and Basic Adhesive-Backed Sequins.
