08.12.19…..Happy Sunday, everyone! Hope you had a wonderful weekend, and were able to spend at least a little bit of time stamping and creating! To create this card, I decided to have a little fun with my Butterfly Gala stamp set, along with my Subtles Designer Series Paper. They really pair well together, and I just love the patterns that are included in paper!
I started with a piece of Whisper White Cardstock, and embossed it with the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder. I layered it with a piece of Subtles Designer Series Paper (in Mint Macaron). I cut three flags (approximately 1-1/4″ by 2-1/4″) from the same paper as well. After I punched a tiny hole in the top corners of each flag, I added just a couple of strands of Whisper White Baker’s Twine. After I popped up each flag with a few Stampin’ Dimensionals, I adhered the entire panel to a Whisper White Thick Cardstock Base.
I used my Butterfly Duet Punch, along with some Whisper White Cardstock, to punch out three large butterflies. I then embossed each butterfly with the Lace 3D Embossing Folder, and adhered them to each flag using a few Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals. Using the Butterfly Gala stamp set, I stamped three little butterflies…..in Blushing Bride, Mint Macaron, and Balmy Blue. I also added a subtle wash of color to each butterfly with my Aqua Painter. After they were dry, I punched them out with the Butterfly Duet Punch, and adhered them with a few Mini Glue Dots.
The sentiment (from the Well Said stamp set) was heat embossed on Whisper White Cardstock, using my Versamark Pad and Silver Stampin’ Emboss Powder. After I cut out the sentiment, I popped it up with a few more Stampin’ Dimensionals. For some extra texture, I used some Whisper White Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon, cut it in half (vertically), and tied two strips on each end of the banner and between each of the flags. For my little bit of bling, I sprinkled on several of the Rhinestone Basic Jewels.
