03.17.2020…..Happy Tuesday, my stampin’ friends!  I’ve been having so much fun creating projects with the new Ornate Garden Suite(This gorgeous suite is an “early release” from the upcoming 2020-2021 Annual Catalog, and it will be available to customers beginning on April 1, 2020.)  That being said, the floral images in the suite are also perfect for any season or any color combination, and I decided to use my Stampin’ Blends to add some bright Spring colors to this card!

For this card, I embossed some Whisper White Cardstock with the Scripty 3D Embossing Folder, and layered a slightly larger piece of Whisper White Cardstock underneath.  After I added a Linen Thread bow, I used a few Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the panel to a Crumb Cake Cardstock base.  The sentiment (from the Ornate Thanks Stamp Set) was heat-embossed on Basic Black Cardstock, using my Versamark Pad and White Stampin’ Emboss Powder. After I cut out the sentiment, I popped it up with a couple of Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped each flower (from the Ornate Style Stamp Set) on Whisper White Thick Cardstock, using my Tuxedo Black Memento Pad (“stamped off” once), and cut them out with one of the Stitched Rectangle Dies. To color the first flower, I used the Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Blends Markers Combo Pack and the Poppy Parade Stampin’ Blends Markers Combo Pack. For the second flower, I used Pool Party Stampin Blends Combo Pack, and the Bermuda Bay Stampin’ Blends Markers Combo Pack.  The third flower was colored with the Petal Pink Stampin’ Blends Combo Pack, and the Calypso Coral Stampin’ Blends Markers Combo Pack. The center of each flower was colored with the Ivory Stampin’ Blends Marker, and the Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends Markers Combo Pack. All of the leaves were colored with the Soft Sea Foam Stampin’ Blends Markers Combo Pack, and the Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends Combo Pack.  Once I finished coloring the flowers, I popped them up with a few Stampin’ Dimensionals.  To add some dimension, I also distressed the edges of all of the paper. For a bit of bling, I sprinkled on a few of the Iridescent Sequins.

Wishing you creativity always,
