Today, I’m sharing three cards (beginner, casual, avid) using the Positive Thoughts Stamp Set (one of my favorites from the current mini catalog), along with the Woven Threads Designer Series Paper (one of my favorites from the annual catalog).  The avid card is featured above. I’ve also included complete instructions underneath each card, so you can scroll right to the card that suits your fancy and start creating!

Let’s start with the beginner card. This card is quick and easy, and uses limited supplies.

Positive Thoughts - Ornate Frames - Woven Threads by Tammy C. Wilson (beginner)

I started with a piece of Whisper White Cardstock and embossed it with the Scripty 3D Embossing Folder.  After I layered a slightly larger piece of cardstock underneath, I used a few Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhered it to a Seaside Spray Cardstock base. I added a piece of Woven Threads DSP, and tore the right edge.  The sentiment (from the Positive Thoughts Stamp Set) was heat-embossed on Whisper White Cardstock,  using my Versamark Pad and Copper Stampin’ Emboss Powder. After I cut it out, I popped it up with a few Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Next is the casual card. This takes just a few more minutes, and a few extra supplies.

I then cut it out with one of the smaller Ornate Frames Dies, layering a larger Ornate Frames Die underneath, and popped it up with a few Stampin’ Dimensionals.

And last, but certainly not least…..the avid card! This card requires additional time and supplies, but it is oh sooooo much fun!

I added a piece of Woven Threads DSP, and tore off the right edge.  The sentiment (from the Positive Thoughts Stamp Set) was heat-embossed on Whisper White Cardstock, using my Versamark Pad and Copper Stampin’ Emboss Powder. On this card, I also heat-embossed the sentiment a second time, cut out “Friends”, and added a very subtle wash of color using Seaside Spray along with my Aqua Painter, and popped it up with a couple of Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.  For an extra bit shimmer and bling, I added a bit of Rose Metallic Thread, and sprinkled on several of the Woven Thread Sequins.

Wishing you creativity always,
