04.21.20…..Happy Tuesday, my stamping friends! I have to say that the Praiseworthy Prose Stamp Set has climbed the charts to one of my most favorite stamp sets! I just love the elecletic blend of the “dictionary” sentiments and the trendy little accent stamps! Sooooo much fun!!! That being said, I decided to create another card with this set. Hope it inspires you to do a bit of crafting and creating today!
For this card, I started with a piece of Bermuda Cardstock, embossed it with the Corrugated 3D Embossing Folder, and adhered it to a Bermuda Bay Cardstock base. I then used one of the accent stamps from the Praiseworthy Prose Stamp Set (along with my Versamark Pad and White Stampin’ Emboss Powder) to create a heat-embossed background on a piece of Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper. To watercolor the background, I misted it just a tiny bit with my Stampin’ Spritzer, and then used my Aqua Painter…..along with Bermuda Bay and Granny Apple Green. As the colors started to run together, I also added a few little spritzes here and there. After I was satisfied with the results, I used my Heat Tool to partially dry the paper, then added some speckling with my Dark Bermuda Bay Stampin’ Blends Marker. (I created the speckling by “flicking the thick end of the marker against the marker cap.)
For an extra bit of texture, I added a small piece of Granny Apple Green Textured Weave Ribbon and Whisper White Baker’s Twine. The sentiment (also from the Praiseworth Prose Stamp Set) was heat-embossed on Bermuda Bay Cardstock, using my Versamark Pad and White Stampin’ Emboss Powder. After I cut it out with one of the Stitched Rectangle Dies, I popped it up with a few Mini Stampin Dimensionals. For a little bit of bling, I sprinkled on a few Glitter Enamel Dots and a couple of Gingham Gala Adhesive-Backed Sequins.
Wishing you creativity always,
