“h” is for happy…

Monogram Messages by Tammy C. Wilson (watermark)

06.21.20…..Happy Sunday, everyone!  Before our Father’s Day celebration began, I decided to squeeze in a little crafting and stamping. And…I decided to create a card with the new Monogram Messages Stamp Set, from the brand new Stampin’ Up! 2020-2021 Annual Catalog!  This new catalog is sooooo jam-packed with soooooo many amazing stamps sets, accessories, and more….and I know your wish list will be overflowing before you know it!

For this card, I started with a piece of Coastal Cabana Cardstock, embossed it with the Pinewood Planks 3D Embossing Folder, and adhered it to a Coastal Cabana Cardstock base. To create the colorful background, I started a piece of Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper, and misted it with my Stampin’ Spritzer.  I then used my Aqua Painter…along with Flirty Flamingo, Coastal Cabana, Granny Apple Green…to add a wash of color.  I misted the paper just a bit more with my Stampin’ Spritzer (filled with water), then sat back and watched the magic happen. As the colors started to run together, I also added a few more spritzes here and there. After I was satisfied with the results, I used my Heat Tool to dry the paper.  To add the extra little water spots, I dipped my fingertips in a bit of water, and “flicked” them above the paper. This time, I let the paper dry on it’s own, and did not use my heat tool. Once the paper was dry, I used a few Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere it to the card base.

I heat-embossed the “H” (from the Monogram Messages Stamp Set) on Vellum Cardstock, using my Versamark Pad and White Stampin’ Emboss Powder, and cut it out with one of the Layering Circles Dies.  The tiny sentiments (also from the Monogram Messages Stamp Set) were heat-embossed with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder as well, on Flirty Flamingo Cardstock.  After I cut them out, I popped them up with a few Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The three little butterflies (also from the Monogram Messages Stamp Set) were heat-embossed on Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper, using White Stampin’ Emboss Powder. After I punched them out with the Butterfly Duet Punch, I used my Aqua Painter to color them with Flirty Flamingo, Coastal Cabana, and Granny Apple Green.  Once they were dry, I popped them up with a few more Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.  For a bit of bling, I sprinkled on a few Woven Threads Sequins and Flowers for Every Season Gems.

Wishing you creativity always,
