07.08.2020…..Happy Wednesday, everyone! I had sooooo much fun using the Ridiculously Awesome Stamp Set on my last post, so I decided to create another card with it again today! The Ridiculously Awesome Stamp Set is from the brand new Stampin’ Up! 2020-2021 Annual Catalog! This new catalog is sooooo jam-packed with soooooo many amazing stamps sets, accessories, and more….and I know your wish list will be overflowing before you know it!
For this card, I started with a piece of Whisper White Cardstock, and used a few Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere it to a Whisper White Thick Cardstock Base. To create the watercolored background, I started with a piece of Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper, and misted it with my Stampin’ Spritzer. I then used one of my Water Painters…along with Flirty Flamingo, Coastal Cabana, Granny Apple Green…to add a wash of color. I misted the paper just a bit more with my Stampin’ Spritzer (filled with water), then sat back and watched the magic happen. As the colors started to run together, I also added a few more spritzes here and there. After I was satisfied with the results, I used my Heat Tool to dry the paper. To add the extra little water spots, I dipped my fingertips in a bit of water, and “flicked” them above the paper. This time, I let the paper dry on it’s own, and did not use my heat tool.
I heat-embossed the sentiment (from the Ridiculously Awesome Stamp Set), using my Versamark Pad and Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder. I then used one of my Water Painters (along with Flirty Flamingo) to add a subtle wash of color across part of the sentiment. After I cut it out with one of the In Good Taste Dies, I popped it up with a few Stampin’ Dimensionals. For a bit of bling, I sprinkled on a few Whale of a Time Sequins and Woven Thread Sequins.
Wishing you creativity always,
