07.10.2020…..Happy Friday, everyone! Today, I wanted to create a card with a bit of a “boho” feel, so I decided to use an eclectic assortment of Designer Series Paper, and…the See the Good Stamp Set, from the brand new Stampin’ Up! 2020-2021 Annual Catalog! This new catalog is sooooo jam-packed with soooooo many amazing stamps sets, accessories, and more….and I know your wish list will be overflowing before you know it!
For this card, I started with a piece of Whisper White Cardstock, and added various paper strips from the following Designer Series Paper collections…In Good Taste, Flowers For Every Season, Ornate Garden, Subtles 6″ x 6″, and 2019-2021 6″ x 6″. I varied the width of the strips between 1/2″ and 1″ (approximately). I also trimmed the end on two of the strips, so they are a bit shorter in length that the other strips. Once I adhered all of the strips to the Whisper White Cardstock, I used a few Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the entire panel to a Whisper White Thick Cardstock base.
I heat-embossed the sentiment (from the See the Good Stamp Set) on Whisper White Thick Cardstock, using my Versamark Pad and Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder. After I cut it out with one of the Stitched Shapes Dies, I popped it up with a few more Stampin’ Dimensionals. I also heat-embossed the sentiment a second time, cut out “world”, and… added a subtle wash of Pretty Peacock, using one of my Water Painters. Before I popped it up with a couple of Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals, I distressed the paper. For a bit of extra texture and bling, I added some gold trim (from the Forever Greenery Trim Combo Pack), and sprinkled on a Woven Threads Sequin and a couple of Whale of a Time Sequins.
