8.14.2020…..Happy Friday, everyone! It’s already time for another TGIF Challenge! This week, we have have a super fun Sketch Challenge for you! So…get out some of your favorite products, get creative…and get inspired along with us! I hope you have a chance to play along with us this week, over at TGIF Challenges. We would love to see what you create!
For this card, I started with some Whisper White Cardstock, embossed it with the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder, and adhered it to a Whisper White Thick Cardstock base. I then used a smaller piece of Whisper White Cardstock, and added a subtle bit of Pool Party to it, using a Sponge Dauber. I stamped the cursive text stamp (from the Very Versailles Stamp Set), using Gray Granite. The branches (also from the Very Versailles Stamp Set) were “stamped off”, using Pool Party. I also added a bit of speckling with my Dark Gray Granite Stampin’ Blends Marker, by “flicking” the thick of the marker against the edge of the marker cap. Before I adhere it with a few Stampin’ Dimensionals, I added a slight larger piece of Peony Garden Designer Series Paper underneath.
For a fun bit of texture, I used some Gray Granite Shimmer Ribbon (cut in half vertically), and adhered it to the card base using Tear & Tape Adhesive. The sentiment (also from the Very Versaille Stamp Set) was heat-embossed on Whisper White Cardstock, using my Versamark Pad and Silver Stampin’ Emboss Powder. I also used one of my Water Painters, to add a subtle wash of Pool Party across the sentiment. After I cut it out with one of the Ornate Layers Dies, I popped it up with a few more Stampin’ Dimensionals. For a bit of bling, I sprinkled on a few Pearl Basic Jewels, a couple of Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels, and a silver Metallic Pearl.
Wishing you creativity always,
